Happy Pride even though I didn’t go June 12, 2010

Posted by Summerspeaker in Queer politics.

I might like to say I boycotted the local parade because of philosophical objections, but the need rest and recuperate from a minor bout of illness has more to do with it. (Ah, the joys of being a fleshbag.) Sadly there’s little in the way of radical queer organizing where I live. Attempting full access to marriage and military service dominates the national gay agenda. While progress in context, that’s light-years from revolutionary. I want to be abolishing the oppressive structure, not winning a place in it.
