In Los Angeles for the Anarchist Bookfair June 20, 2011

Posted by Summerspeaker in Anarchism, Feminism, Transhumanism.

Yesterday I attended the Black Rose Anarchist History Tour. I have so many things to write about, but haven’t had the chance to compose a substantive post. I’ve been reading The Apartheid of Sex by Martine Rothblatt and Woman on the Edge of Time by Marge Piercy. I find the former inspiring despite Rothblatt’s support for capitalism, bourgeois democracy, and the family. The latter brought me to tears with its stark description of the horrors of this world and vision of a revolutionary future where folks live free. I’m filled with longing and sadness.
